ShoreThe early morning was still fresh and a chill breeze wafted from the sea.
Her boat was late. She knew that it was wrong to count on an old fisherman, but it was cheap and he seemed to care for her safety.
She closed her eyes and listened to the waves till her long, pointy ears jerked. There was an unfamiliar sound between all the tiny splashes. The sounds source was not the water everytime it hit the landing stage. But she was afraid to look if it really was the sound of footsteps on sand.
„You are still as beautiful.“ She knew that voice and it was to close behind her.
It was him she tried to avoid. Him she tried to flee from since she found her families pearls. The nacre-gems that where as natural for her origin as her outstandig ears and lilac hair. He owned the gems of her parents and siblings and she knew what that meant.
He wasn't the help he declared himself to be. He did not save them, as was told to her and she had to run away if she wanted to survive.
